Requis Introduces Global Concierge Team of Procurement Experts to Help Customers Source and Procure Equipment
Requis—the online supply chain platform built for supply chain professionals—brings transparency, innovation and simplicity to the buying, managing and selling of assets. But, did you know that our global team of procurement experts can now help customers source and procure equipment and material, quickly and cost-effectively through Requis’ Concierge Service?
The Requis team are now getting many requests from our customers and other WorleyParsons offices to help source materials. Often, the requests are for materials required urgently. As Requis connects suppliers and customers through a global marketplace, the team can provide quick access to surplus materials that may not have been made available otherwise.
Through the Concierge Service our global team of procurement experts are on hand to take care of everything from asset sourcing and orders to ensuring prompt shipping and timely, on-site delivery. These people have a strong understanding of the complexities and costs involved with buying and selling assets, providing exceptional service every time.
A recent success story provides a great example of how three WorleyParsons’ offices co-ordinated to help a customer meet an urgent deadline for their shutdown schedule. After demonstrating Requis to the WorleyParsons New Zealand Procurement team, led by Wayne Crawford, they immediately saw the potential for Requis; they had just been let down by a supplier who failed to deliver critical project shutdown materials (flanges) and no solution had been provided.
Through the Requis Concierge Service, three suppliers who were registered and using Requis were contacted. Within 24 hours two had provided quotations, both offering delivery of the materials within a week. A quick evaluation was carried out, a supplier was selected and a Purchase Order was awarded. Two days later, the flanges were shipped from Australia to New Zealand, arriving at the customer’s site within time for the project shut down.
Not only did this fast turnaround demonstrate the value of Requis, but also is a great example of how teams across the WorleyParsons Group work together to meet our customer’s needs.
