Simon has over 20 years’ experience in the investment recovery field. He is skilled in valuation of surplus and salvage assets, deal structuring and negotiations for small companies and Fortune 500 enterprises alike.
He has bought and sold assets in oil and gas/energy, mining and resources, transportation, retail, construction, manufacturing, insurance and salvage, metals, IT and other industries. He has worked in senior leadership or ownership roles at Equify Auctions, Whiterock, Liquidity Services/Network International, SalvageSale, Teebrum and AssetNation.
Thanks to his entrepreneurial mindset, he has an ability to create innovative asset disposition solutions and drive measurable results.
At SalvageSale Simon completed over 3,000 salvage transactions generating a combined sales total $70M. He sold four gas turbines totaling $25M for a major energy company. He was also part of a three-person team sent to inspect and evaluate a potential $100M dollar principal deal for mining equipment in Newfoundland.
Part of the secret of Simon’s success is his ability to conduct all stages of the deal, from formulating strategy to identifying targets to relationship development—all the way to closing the final deal. He is also a proven team leader and coach, and was part of the Liquidity Action Learning Team (ALT). With the other team members, he presented to the CEO and senior management at their Washington headquarters.
