Brett Sanders leads platform development at Requis. As a full-stack web developer with over 10 years’ experience, he has a strong background in software engineering, supply chain strategy, and user experience.

One of Brett’s main technical passions is building scalable, real-time, resilient systems. He delights in using modern technologies like Ruby, React.js, and Elixir. He values UX best practices to improve usability through increased efficiency, standardization, and centralization.

Responsible for the Requis platform front end and back end, Brett leads capacity planning and management of the entire development team. He excels at developing efficient yet flexible development processes, so the team can remain agile yet maintain high output.

With a background in teaching many subjects, Brett strives to promote a culture of learning and collaboration. The environment he has fostered allows his team to collaborate quickly on new challenges.

Brett grew up in sunny San Diego. Outside of tech, he’s passionate about learning many things, from music and literature, to math and coding. He’s lived all over the US, including Chicago, Pittsburgh, Raleigh, DC, and Miami, but has found himself back living in San Diego.
