A recent success story provides a great example of how three WorleyParsons’ offices co-ordinated to help a customer meet an urgent deadline for their shutdown schedule. After demonstrating Requis to the WorleyParsons New Zealand Procurement team, led by Wayne Crawford, they immediately saw the potential for Requis; they had just been let down by a supplier who failed to deliver critical project shutdown materials (flanges) and no solution had been provided.
Through the Requis Concierge Service, three suppliers who were registered and using Requis were contacted. Within 24 hours two had provided quotations, both offering delivery of the materials within a week. A quick evaluation was carried out, a supplier was selected and a Purchase Order was awarded. Two days later, the flanges were shipped from Australia to New Zealand, arriving at the customer’s site within time for the project shut down.
Not only did this fast turnaround demonstrate the value of Requis, but also is a great example of how teams across the WorleyParsons Group work together to meet our customer’s needs.
