Requis Marketplace Hosts Our Most Successful Auction Ever

We’ve closed the books on the most successful auction we’ve ever had on the Requis marketplace, which generated over $8M in total bids. An enormous stockpile of surplus pipe has found new purpose with new owners.

The success of this auction is a milestone in our mission to get surplus materials to the right people.

“I am so proud of our team for making this happen and I want to personally thank all of our clients, buyers and sellers who participated in this outstanding sales event,” said Nick Albueita, director of disposition at Requis. “Whether you are looking to buy or sell surplus oil and gas, industrial, power or construction equipment come and check us out at Requis.”

Requis' Top Earning Sale to Date - 2020

Numbers Speak Louder Than Words

Wondering what the figures look like on our record-setting auction in the Requis marketplace? At the end of the sealed bid event on December 8th, 2020 there were 138 bids from 25 unique bidders.

The materials were spread across 24 lots and there were potential buyers taking aim on the pipe from 15 different countries—a truly global marketplace.

Enterprise Buying and Selling

Requis unlocks the value of surplus materials and equipment by giving our enterprise buyers and sellers the opportunity to exchange with each other on a global scale.

In our consumer-free marketplace, industry professionals who know what they’re looking for can find what they need more easily.

Disposition Makes an Impact on the Bottom Line—and Sustainability

We estimate that oil and gas enterprises could earn about $80B in free cash if they sold the idle assets that lie in storage yards and warehouses. This not only adds to the bottom line but makes businesses more sustainable.

Richard Martin, CEO of Requis, said, “Enterprises are discovering that Requis is more than just a supply chain solution that makes them more money—it makes our world a better place. By offering to sell both used and unused surplus equipment and materials we reduce the need for resource extraction and move industry forward.”

Martin concluded, “I’d like to congratulate Nick and the Marketplace team for their best auction yet.”
