Experience Matters

Richard brings over 25 years of high-tech experience to his position as CEO of Requis. He has worked for technology giants such as VMware, Nortel, Bay Networks, 3Com, Chipcom, Memotec, Bell Northern Research and IBM.

After becoming CEO of Requis, a cloud-based solution designed to bring together all aspects of global supply chain, Martin got to work to help the team realize their vision. The structure of the platform is designed to support a more flexible and distributed value network relationship between businesses, rather than the outmoded and siloed view of a linear supply chain.

“I am grateful for this recognition by Mirror Review, and am pleased to accept this award on behalf of the Requis team, because Requis truly is a team effort,” said Martin. “This award speaks to the importance of our vision to strengthen an ever-expanding network of businesses across the world.”

Global Crisis and the Need for New Connectivity

The need for digital connectivity over the global supply chain has never been more important than it is now.

“The overall effect of the coronavirus pandemic has been to expose the existing fragility of our global supply chain,” said Martin. “New solutions are required to ensure that we are never caught by surprise again in the grasp of another immobilizing threat.”

COVID-19 did indeed take the world by surprise. Once-bustling shipyards, warehouses and factories were brought to a halt.

“There has always been, and will always be, volatility in the supply chain caused by disruptions that scale from inconveniences all the way to pandemic level events,” commented Martin. “The Requis platform is ideally structured to connect businesses involved in all supply chain functions, from procurement through asset management to disposition. This will help organizations adapt more quickly.”

Requis to the Forefront

Requis is a commerce platform designed for buying, managing and selling enterprise assets. It is our goal to change how supply chain professionals think about their craft and to bring transparency to the world’s network of supply and demand.

“At Requis, we believe there is a better way. A better way to buy, a better way to sell, and a better way to manage asset life cycles that significantly improves capital efficiencies for all participants,” said Martin.
