The Silicon Review Names Requis to Two “Top Ten in 2020” Lists

The Silicon Review magazine has awarded Requis spots on two of its prestigious ‘best of’ lists for 2020: “10 Best Supply Chain Companies to Watch” and “10 Best Startups to Watch”.

When told the news, Requis CEO Richard Martin was ecstatic. “I couldn’t be more thrilled,” he said. “For a two-year old company to win two awards like this is very encouraging. The entire team has been working extremely hard to make the platform a success, and it’s wonderful to see that we’re being recognized.”

Requis has earned several awards in its first few years of existence, including CV Magazine’s “Most Trusted Cloud-Based Supply Chain Platform 2019” and CIO Review’s “Most Promising Supply Chain Solution Providers 2020″ Award”. Martin himself was named as one of Supply and Demand Chain Executive’s “Pros to Know” for 2020.

“The Requis trophy shelf is looking pretty healthy,” joked Martin. “But in all seriousness, I feel our team has more than earned these awards. Our developers are constantly adding and improving features in response to user requests, and our customer support team has been working tirelessly to help our users get assets online and into our marketplace. Some of our reps have even been out in our clients’ warehouses, taking photos of assets for them. To my knowledge, no other platform serves its users better.”

Requis is an end-to-end supply chain platform, designed to help enterprises buy, manage and sell their assets. Inspired by consumer platforms like Amazon and eBay, Requis is designed to provide B to B users with a similarly intuitive experience, designed around procurement and disposition workflows.

“We’ve had incredible feedback on our procurement module,” says Martin. “One project for Worley saved the procurement team about 15%-20% of project hours. Worley’s client learned to use the module within a couple of hours. You can’t say that about any enterprise resource planning software that I’ve heard of.”

Many enterprises, however, use Requis to start their digitization journey with disposition. “I get that,” commented Martin. “Many supply chain professionals are wildly risk-averse. They see disposition as an easy way to try out the platform.”

Many of Requis’ users have seen great success selling surplus assets in the Requis marketplace. Auctions on Requis have earned hundreds of thousands of dollars for enterprises expecting 10% of those amounts.

“Disposition is underestimated as a source of free cash by most enterprises,” said Martin. “In the oil and gas sector in particular it’s treated like a garage sale. But by creating a community where enterprises can sell to each other and to refurbishers, and not just scrappers, our users are learning that they can be earning back 5% of the original asset value, or more.”

Requis’ mission to help enterprises digitize their supply chains continues, and its user community continues to grow.

“I have reason to believe that the future will be very bright for the entire Requis community,” concluded Martin.
