Felix is adept with all aspects of financial analysis, financial planning, auditing and accounting. He has dedicated his career to helping companies improve processes, take advantage of new digital systems, and implement new solutions that reduce losses and increase revenue.

A professional accountant since 2007, he has worked for companies in a variety of industries, including Worley (Houston), National Oilwell Varco, Faith Health, R.T. Briscoe and the Ferguson Group.

He is equally at home with granular analysis as well as big-picture reporting and planning for leadership teams. Colleagues have commented on his excellent leadership abilities, noting that he is not afraid to take on tough projects and see them through.

Some of Felix’s key accomplishments include driving $500,000 of incremental accelerated cash flow by implementing a factoring arrangement for receivables. For another employer, he reduced debtors value by 40% by reconciling customer and receivables accounts. In his second year of his career, he not only managed over $100M in annual fuel expenses, he also identified and recovered over $1.2M in fuel overpayments after implementing new procedures. At Worley, he joined a new team in its infancy and within one year was running his own region within the department.

He is also a highly effective mentor and communicator, providing training for internal and external teams on new policies and processes. By initiating weekly reviews of fixed costs and sales budgets with sales teams, he has helped them stay informed about their performance. He can also easily explain accounting and financial concepts and situations to leadership so they can make rapid and informed decisions.

Felix holds a MSc in accounting from the University of Port Harcourt and earned his BSc in accounting from the University of Ilorin, both in Nigeria.

When he’s not crunching numbers, Felix loves spending time with his wife and son and watching soccer (and wishing he could still play). For him, researching and community service are incredibly fun.
